We Exist Because God Exists

I can’t explain the reason why God chose me to be an imitator of Him.  What I do know is that God is infinite, he loves me unconditionally and has always been in existence. It’s hard to fathom that God knew that I would be here over 2,000 years ago.  John 1:1

It’s a profound statement that John wrote. It makes you think about how big our God really is. God gave us life and the only reason why we exist is because of Him. Sunday’s message was really a gut-check. I would be a fool to exclude God from my life knowing what I know.

Knowing how He is all-powerful, understands everything and is everywhere. What I do know is that God is infinite, he loves me unconditionally and has always been in existence. God gave us life, and the only reason why we exist is because of Him. It’s hard to fathom that God knew that I would be here over 2,000 years ago. It makes me think about how big our God really is.

Life is finite, and I have to live a purposeful life. This life is it, and I want my life to count. I’ve had opportunity after opportunity to do the right thing and listen to God. Sunday’s message affirms that God is a God of multiple chances. I can go right (God) or left (Satan). It always appears simple, and it’s a matter of me making the choice: do I want to satisfy my Spirit or my flesh?

The times when I have taken advantage of God, I was doing things in my own power. Thinking because I did christian service work or read more scripture than normal, I was doing God a favor. He’s more than a sometimes God. He doesn’t need me, but I need Him. God loves us unconditionally. Regardless to our circumstances; our past or future, His love doesn’t change. Jesus came to give us life and to shine His light on those who walk in darkness.

Sometimes we need to address the strongholds in our lives, those things which captive and change the way we think and act, which prevent us from moving towards God. I realize that it’s easier said than done at times, but when we recognize that our source comes from God; we have to get on our knees and pray for deliverance, guidance and repentance. God will transform us.

We have an all mighty God who loves us. He sees us through His eyes differently than we see ourselves or how others see us. God sees our potential, and what we can be.

God knows best. God is working a work in our lives right now.
